Cumann na Gaeilge i mBoston is proud to host its annual Lá Gaeilge (Irish Immersion Day) on Saturday Oct 24th. from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, at Catholic Memorial School in West Roxbury. The day’s theme will be “The 1916 Uprising.”
• Irish language classes for all levels, rank-beginner to fluent
• Perspectives on the Celtic Revival and Nationalist Movement presented by Kathryn O’Neill of Harvard University
• Fenian Songs of the Rebellion Workshop led by Karen Conneely of Co. Galway
• Sean-nós Irish Dance Workshop by Kieran Jordan Dance with instructor Rebecca McGowan
• Breakfast and lunch
• Comhrá and Céilí
• Craic agus Ceol!
Accompanied minors are welcome at this event. People who plan to take the Jordan Dance workshop are advised to wear hard-soled, low-heeled shoes.
